Packaging

The packaging phase is a fundamental operation for us. For us at costauto srl it represents our business card, which demonstrates our attention to ensuring that the product purchased by the customer arrives at its destination intact.

Unfortunately, during transport the possibility of damage or even loss of the package is a not remote event, which we often face but which we are prepared to resolve, considering that most shipments entrusted to the courier are insured for their value.

The shipping phase is divided into these events:

1) Pre-packaging check. This check is fundamental through which we verify both the correspondence of the purchased spare part with the one that is actually packaged and shipped, but also its integrity.

2) Packaging phase. In this phase we use different types of material based on the type of spare part purchased. In stock we have a wide range of boxes of various sizes, new in double reinforced wave. All products shipped are boxed.

For the internal part we use protective material, and for each type of spare part we use a different product.

For example, for all plastic spare parts, such as grilles, moldings, headlights, rear lights, we use air bubbles produced by a machine with which you can also adjust the intensity and size of the bubbles.

For sheet metal products such as hoods, fenders, sides, doors or tailgates, we use polystyrene corners, U-profiles in both polystyrene and polypropylene and we often use them in combination to minimize the possibility of damage during transport.

3) Labeling. This is the last phase in which the package is labeled with the shipping label of the chosen courier and then the package is entrusted to the courier for shipping.

We have really invested a lot in the packaging phase and we continue to experiment with new products to make shipments more and more, for us it is an essential aspect and we do everything we can to ensure that the purchased product arrives intact, but despite everything, sometimes it happens that the product arrives damaged and is damaged during the transport phase. But even in this case we always offer a solution to the customer that can be a replacement or a refund of the cost of the purchased spare part. All the material that we entrust to the courier is insured.

Shipping within the national territory (Italy) is always free, we have managed to obtain good rates with some couriers that allow us to offer free and insured shipping.

For international shipments we have included a shipping cost that is below the rates requested by the courier and this especially for large packages such as bumpers, hoods, doors and tailgates.

The use of large boxes is necessary both because the couriers do not accept non-boxed packages but above all to preserve the integrity of the spare part during transport. The large dimensions are necessary to be able to insert in addition to the spare part also all the internal protection material to preserve it during loading/unloading operations. On the other hand, the large dimensions generate such a volume that the shipping cost charged by the courier is very high.

When you make a purchase on our site that includes international shipping, consider this important aspect of shipping and you will realize that the cost paid for shipping is not excessive. Try to make a quote yourself with a courier by entering measurements such as 200x50x70 centimeters or 185x22x150 centimeters as dimensions and you will see!!
